About Gwen Hoople Gwen Hoople was born in Jedburgh, Scotland, and moved with her family to Hamilton, New Zealand, when she was six. After high school, she left New Zealand for Austria on what was to be a one-year youth cultural exchange program. She ended up staying in Vienna for 18 years, became a mother, and worked for an international trading company, facilitating transactions for commodities between European countries. Gwen moved into real estate when she came to the United States with her husband in 1997. Settling a few months later in the San Francisco Bay Area, she sold real estate for four years in the East Bay at Prudential and Red Oak Realty. Gwen's clients appreciated her well-informed guidance as they sorted through financial issues and the vast array of available loan packages. Gwen found it quite satisfying to assist her buyers with financial projections, spreadsheets and loan information, and she decided to shift her focus and become a loan consultant. She moved to a position at R.E.Loan Mortgage in Albany, where her real estate sales experience served as a solid foundation for her new role arranging home financing for her clients. Following that, she returned to Red Oak Realty as a loan specialist. She is currently working at Holmgren and Associates. Gwen provides full-service mortgage purchase, refinance and home equity loan assistance to satisfied clients throughout the state. When not working with clients, Gwen enjoys reading, boating, hiking and traveling to visit distant family members.
