Since 1989, John K. Holmgren has built his company into one of the top volume firms in the Bay Area by responding quickly to borrowers’ needs and structuring loans that are well-suited to individual financial situations. John was formerly associated with United Savings Bank, Sears Mortgage Securities Corporation and PMI Mortgage Insurance Company. He currently has a staff of over 20 loan officers and loan administration personnel. He has two forward mortgage lending offices in the Montclair District of Oakland, and a third office that houses Bay Area Reverse Mortgage, a company started four years ago that specializes in reverse mortgages. His firm has consistently produced a high volume of quality mortgage originations, and ranks as one of the top volume mortgage brokerage operations in the Bay Area. Holmgren & Associates has consistently been recognized by Washington Mutual, Wells Fargo, Chase Manhattan Mortgage Corporation, and other major lending institutions as volume and quality leaders. John has been ranked in the top 200 loan originators nationwide by Mortgage Originator Magazine for the last seven years. In addition to running his office, John is also very involved in the community, volunteering his time to different board positions and fundraising for several charities. He also enjoys tennis, traveling, and spending time with his wife and three grown daughters.
